ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 has come to a successful close, and the YiTo Pack team would like to thank everyone who visited us at Hall 5 · Booth 5B28.
From 2 to 4 September at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, we welcomed growers, exporters, packing houses, distributors, retailers, produce brands and packaging professionals from different markets. Some visitors came to explore new materials, while others brought active projects, existing packaging samples and specific requirements for their fruit, pack weight or destination market.
Every conversation gave us a better understanding of how packaging requirements are changing across fresh produce supply chains. We appreciate the time visitors spent examining our products, discussing technical details and sharing their expectations with our team.
According to the official post-show report, this year’s exhibition welcomed a record 16,000 attendees from 95 countries and regions, with more than 760 exhibitors representing 41 countries. We were proud to take part in such an international gathering of the fresh produce industry.
Beyond its scale, ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA is a leading international trade platform for Asia’s fresh produce business. It brings together the value chain from growing, packing and exporting to logistics, technology, packaging and retail, while connecting industry decision-makers with new products, market information and business opportunities.
For YiTo Pack, participating in the exhibition provided a valuable opportunity to present our sustainable packaging capabilities directly to buyers and supply-chain partners from Asia and other global markets. We were proud to take part in an event that plays such an important role in connecting the international fresh produce industry.
What We Presented at Booth 5B28
Visitors explored rigid, flexible, label and secondary packaging solutions, including transparent PLA, PET and rPET containers, produce bags, freshness films, fruit labels, fruit cylinders and fibre-based trays. Our compostable PLA fruit clamshells attracted particular attention from buyers comparing alternatives to conventional rigid plastic packaging.
The discussions went beyond material choice. Buyers asked about clarity, thickness, ventilation, closure performance, cold-chain handling, retail presentation and outer-carton arrangement. These factors vary by fruit and supply chain, so our team reviews the produce type, target pack weight, packing process and transport conditions before recommending a structure. Existing models can be matched to a project, while dimensions, ventilation, tooling, labels and printing can be customised when required.
We also demonstrated the one-stop capability behind our blueberry packaging solutions. One programme can combine clamshells or punnets with freshness films, tray liners, labels, display packaging and outer cartons. Reviewing these components together helps identify issues involving container dimensions, label adhesion, film compatibility, printing and carton fit before production begins.
What We Heard from the Fresh Produce Industry
The most valuable part of the exhibition was hearing what customers are managing in real projects. Different fruits require different balances of ventilation, moisture control, visibility and protection from compression. Buyers are also weighing material choice and packaging performance against procurement cost, packing-line efficiency and the requirements of the destination market.
Several conversations focused on whether clamshells, lidding films, labels and outer cartons could work together as one packaging system. Exporters and brands want suppliers to identify compatibility risks before samples, tooling or printed artwork are approved, rather than after an order enters production.
Market compliance was another frequent concern. The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, which generally applies from 12 August 2026, has increased attention on material selection, documentation and environmental claims. YiTo Pack can compare PLA, PET, rPET, cellulose and fibre-based formats according to the intended application and review available material specifications, food-contact information and certification documents.
The same project-based approach applies to biodegradable fruit stickers. A label review may include the facestock, adhesive, ink, refrigeration conditions, food-contact requirements and intended disposal route. Once the specification is confirmed, the relevant documents can be organised into a project file so procurement, compliance and marketing teams work from the same agreed basis.
These discussions confirmed that fresh produce customers need more than individual packaging items. They need coordinated support covering materials, performance, documentation, customisation and production.
A Proud FRESHTech Moment for YiTo Pack
One of the exhibition highlights was YiTo Pack’s selection as a Top 10 Nominee for the inaugural 2026 FRESHTech Innovation Award.
Our nominated Compostable Freshness Packaging solution was developed for blueberries, grapes and kiwifruit. It combines compostable packaging materials with produce protection and freshness considerations, including container structure, ventilation, cold-chain handling and production feasibility.
The nomination recognised the direction YiTo Pack continues to develop: sustainable packaging designed around the product and its supply chain. We thank the organisers, judges, customers and partners who supported this work.
Continuing Projects After Hong Kong
Although the exhibition has ended, the conversations that began at Booth 5B28 are moving into their next stage.
Our team is reviewing the samples, drawings and project information shared during the event. Some requirements can move directly to an existing product sample, while others need a custom review covering material, structure, printing, tooling or documentation.
Customers who could not attend the exhibition can begin the same process remotely. A current package, photograph, drawing or basic specification is enough for an initial discussion. Details about the product application, dimensions, order quantity, destination market and sustainability objective will help us prepare a relevant recommendation.
YiTo Pack can identify a suitable existing product, propose a custom packaging direction, clarify any open technical points and prepare the next sampling or quotation step. Samples are normally prepared within 5–7 days after the initial specification is confirmed, while bulk production generally takes 15–20 days after sample and order approval, depending on the product and customisation requirements.
Customers receive a practical development route tailored to their application, with clear sampling and quotation steps.
Thank You for Being Part of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026
We sincerely thank everyone who visited Booth 5B28, as well as the customers, partners and colleagues who supported YiTo Pack before, during and after the exhibition.
The three days in Hong Kong allowed us to present our packaging capabilities, reconnect with existing partners and begin conversations with new customers from around the world. More importantly, we heard directly about the packaging challenges facing real fresh produce supply chains.
The feedback we received will continue to guide our work in material development, structural design, freshness testing, documentation and custom manufacturing.
ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 has come to a happy close, but this is not goodbye. The relationships and packaging projects started in Hong Kong are already moving forward, and we look forward to continuing the conversation.
FAQ
Does compostable packaging automatically mean food-safe?
No. Compostability and food-contact suitability are separate considerations. YiTo Pack can review the available food-contact information alongside the compostability documents for the selected material and packaging structure.
Can YiTo Pack customise complete packaging solutions?
Yes. YiTo Pack can support custom dimensions, materials, thickness, ventilation, printing, labels, films and secondary packaging. Our team can also coordinate clamshells, punnets, bags, liners, display packaging and outer cartons within one project.
What should I provide when requesting samples or pricing?
Send the product application, packaging format, dimensions, material preference, printing requirements, estimated quantity, destination market and required documents. An existing package, product photograph or reference sample can be used when a complete drawing is unavailable.
