Compostable Cellophane Sealing Label | Yito Pack
Keep the Crunch. Make the Pack Worth Picking Up.
A sealing label may be small, but the wrong material, adhesive or size can cause lifting, residue, blocked graphics or an inconsistent packaging structure. Buyers sourcing cellophane stickers also need the facestock and adhesive to perform as one finished label.
YiTo Pack develops cellulose film labels and eco-friendly packaging seals for bags, boxes, trays, clamshells and retail packaging.
Available in 30–65 μm thicknesses, these clear labels can be matched with removable or permanent adhesive, custom shapes and printed designs according to the packaging surface and closure area.
From manual application to roll labels for automatic equipment, YiTo Pack helps confirm the label material, adhesive, size and roll configuration before production.
Why Choose Yito’s Cellophane Sealing Labels?
A conventional plastic sticker can become an unwanted material component when the main package is designed around cellulose, paper, PLA or another compostable structure. Yito’s cellophane sealing labels use regenerated wood-pulp cellulose film as the facestock, providing a transparent option for closing bags, boxes, trays, clamshells and lightweight food containers. For projects seeking plastic-free packaging labels, the complete structure—including the facestock, adhesive, ink and coating—must be reviewed before the claim is confirmed. The clear film allows the product, printed packaging or display window beneath the label to remain visible while adding a defined closure point.
The label structure can be adjusted around the actual packaging surface and application process. Buyers can specify removable or permanent adhesive, 30–65 μm facestock, custom dimensions, die-cut shapes, printing, liner and roll direction. Samples are tested on the intended bag, carton, tray or container before production because adhesion can change between glass, coated paperboard, cellulose film, PLA and PET surfaces. Cellophane Features for Sealing Labels
Regenerated Wood-Pulp Cellulose
Cellophane is a regenerated cellulose film commonly derived from wood pulp. It provides a plant-derived facestock option for packaging projects seeking an alternative to conventional petroleum-based label films.
Clear Packaging Presentation
These clear sealing labels keep the product, package colour and printed graphics visible beneath the transparent facestock.
Printable Cellophane Surface
Cellophane sealing labels support single-colour and CMYK printing, white ink, barcodes and QR codes. Selected designs can also include varnish, foil stamping, gloss or matte effects.
Anti-Static Performance
The cellophane facestock helps reduce static buildup during converting, storage and label application. This also helps limit dust attraction and supports a cleaner packaging presentation.
Custom Shapes and Dimensions
Standard shapes include round, square, rectangular and oval sealing labels. Custom dies can follow a logo, symbol, illustration, box opening or closure line.
Applications for Cellophane Sealing Labels
Custom Solutions & Branding Services
YiTo Pack supports custom size, shape, transparent area, CMYK artwork, white ink, finish, liner and roll direction. Basic artwork support is available to check the cutting line, bleed, white layer and print direction before sampling.
Three-Step Custom Process
1. Design
Provide the packaging material, closure dimensions, artwork, application method and estimated quantity. For machine application, also provide the core diameter, winding direction and maximum roll diameter.
2. Sample
Samples are produced for adhesion, removal, print appearance and dispensing tests. Testing should use the actual production package rather than a substitute material.
3. Production
Bulk production begins after the structure, artwork and sample are approved. Repeat orders follow the confirmed finished-label specification.
Why Choose YiTo Pack?
YiTo Pack develops cellulose-based labels for clear sealing, custom printing, removable or permanent adhesion and low-halogen packaging projects. Our team evaluates the complete label structure—including the cellophane facestock, adhesive, ink, coating and liner—according to the packaging surface and intended application.
Relevant projects can be supported with available documentation related to EN 13432, ASTM D6400, BPI, OK COMPOST, ISO 14855 and ISO 9001. Certificate scope is checked against the selected material and finished-label specification before any compostability or compliance claim is confirmed.
With 14 biodegradable packaging patents, YiTo Pack supports projects from material selection and artwork review to surface testing, sampling and bulk production. Samples can be prepared in 5–7 days, with bulk production normally completed in 15–20 days after final approval.
FAQ
Q: How do I choose the right sealing labels for my packaging?
A: Start by confirming the packaging material, closure span, intended removal behaviour and application method. Removable adhesive is intended for temporary closures, while permanent adhesive is selected when the label should remain attached. Test at least one production-representative sample on the actual package before approval. For machine application, also provide the roll core, winding direction and maximum roll diameter.
Q: What thicknesses and shapes are available?
A: Cellophane facestock is available in a 30–65 μm range according to the label size, printing process and dispensing requirements. Standard shapes include round, square, rectangular and oval. Custom dies can follow a logo, symbol or packaging closure line. The final cutting path is confirmed from the approved artwork.
Q: Can sealing labels be applied to bags, boxes and clamshells?
A: Yes, but the adhesive must be matched to the actual packaging surface. Cellulose film, coated paperboard, glass, PLA and PET have different adhesion conditions. At least one sample test should be completed on the production material. Refrigerated applications should also be tested under the intended temperature and condensation conditions.
Q: Can cellophane sealing labels be custom printed?
A: Yes. Available options include single-colour and CMYK printing, white ink, barcodes and QR codes. Selected projects can also use varnish, foil stamping, gloss or matte effects. Artwork should include the cutting line, bleed, white layer and print direction before sample production.
Q: Are all cellophane sealing labels certified compostable?
A: Compostability depends on the complete label structure rather than the cellophane facestock alone. The facestock, adhesive, release layer, ink and coating must be reviewed against the applicable certification scope and intended disposal route. Changes to the ink, coating or print coverage may require another compliance review.
